Topiary

What is Topiary? It is the art of carefully clipping/training plants such as shrubs, trees and hedging to become a clearly defined shape (either geometrical or fanciful)

Topiary does not require much maintenance to keep them looking perfect.Both pot grown and garden grown topiary should be pruned annually in early and late summer, as this is when your plant will recover the quickest. Some faster growing topiary species may require a second or third trim to keep them in shape.

The most common varieties of plants used to create topiary are Buxus, Taxus, Laurus nobilis and Ligustrum. Here at the nursery, we stock topiary plants ready for immediate supply and offer a sourcing service for other bespoke pieces.
