Unlike annuals perennials will live for several years flowering year after year.
Some of the best garden plants are perennials, grown for their long-lasting flowers and attractive foliage, they’re perfect for adding a splash of colour and filling up gaps in a flower bed.
Herbaceous perennials such as Penstemon, Geraniums, Delphiniums etc. will die back to the ground every autumn/winter and will regrow in the Spring. Evergreen perennials such as Heuchera and Bergenia will hold their leaves throughtout the year.
